CRNS’ annual Funding and Support Services Seminar took place digitally on Thursday 20 May 2021 with 60 participants in attendance.
We know from listening to our members how valued this event is, and each year we aim to showcase a few new funding bodies and business support services to keep the event fresh and of course current in terms of information available to our members.
This year we were delighted to highlight several new funds and support offerings in addition to hearing from a few of the organisations we regularly feature at this event. All presenters gave insightful updates on their particular areas of support outlining what they can currently offer, and each presentation generated many varied questions for the speakers.
CRNS member Instant Neighbour (also a member of the CRNS Reuse Consortium) took part in a Q&A session with Michael Cook, CEO of CRNS. Sophy Green, CEO at Instant Neighbour, very kindly enlightened us as to their funding journey over the last year or so, providing some interesting facts and top tips from her own experiences of applying for various funding packages.
We also heard from Community Spaces, who source commercial property for charities, community organisations and start-up businesses. They did not have a PowerPoint but their contact details can be found within the web link.
Presentations from the Event
We know many attendees at our events are keen to go back in their own time and look through the PowerPoint presentations delivered once more, therefore we have provided these below.
A tightly packed programme made for a wealth of information for our members and stimulated lots of chat between delegates in the chat bar. We hope, following this event, that organisations will feel better equipped and more knowledgeable to submit applications for funding and business support. Certainly having very approachable and helpful presenters, who encouraged people to get in touch for further advice or just for a chat, should certainly pave the way for them.
