Stepping Stone Website

The Stepping Stone Website is a service for CRNS Full and Fledgling member organisations who do not currently have a website. The service aims to provide members with a website without having to spend the time and money normally involved in setting up a website.

The Stepping Stone site will be a simple four-page site which will display information about the organisation including a brief history, contact details, and an overview of activities and services, along with a logo and preferred colour scheme. The website will be a fully functional website, with targeted monitoring showing how many users visit the site, how long they are staying and much more.

How the service works

The CRNS will set up all that is needed, from ordering a desired available domain name, or using an already registered one, designing the page from a simple template, as well as hosting the site.

The member organisation will have to provide the actual content for the website, whether it's images, logos or copy. The CRNS will contact the member every quarter to check if any updates or changes on the website are necessary, to make sure the site is up to date.

Timescales

The timescale for getting a Stepping Stone Website up and running will be approximately 4 weeks from submission of the order form, depending both on other CRNS activities at the time, and how quickly the website content is submitted. The key is that the service has a short turn-around time and will be up and running quickly.

Cost

The Stepping Stone Website will cost a fixed fee of £100 for the first 12 months, including registration of one org.uk or co.uk domain name, design and installation of website and Google Analytics to monitor traffic and user behaviour on the website. The fee includes four updates per year of the website's content. Additional unscheduled updates may be subject to an additional fee.

The service is currently only available to CRNS Full or Fledgling members.
