The next Orkney Isles Recycling Forum will be on Monday November 24th at the Picaquoy Centre, Kirkwall. Tea and Coffee available from 10:30 for an 11:00 a.m. Start. Lunch at 12:30.
The INCREASE programme is now in full swing, and small community groups across Scotland are using this to do so really interesting and innovative reuse and recycling projects. Community groups in Orkney have also been awards INCREASE funding in the last few weeks. The INCREASE Small programme in particular (http://www.crns.org.uk/increase/small.html) is easy to access for awards of up to £5k, ideal for getting things started in a small way. The forum will: provide an update on INCREASE programme provide an update on OIC recycling services look at ways of working together to do more ‘grab a grant ’ session – do your form filling for your INCREASE Small applications on the spot Please let me know if you are able to join us on the 24th - it is very helpful to plan for catering and avoid food waste.
