The next Highland Community Recycling Forum will be on Friday November 21st at the NTS Visitor Centre, Glencoe. See http://www.glencoe-nts.org.uk/How-to-Find-Us-g.asp for a map and directions. This is a joint meeting with the Argyll & Bute Forum.

The programme for the day is:

12:30 – Site visit to LEG’s Glencoe Community Composting site (opposite the entrance to Glencoe Village)
13:00 – Lunch at NTS Visitor centre
13:30 – Forum – Agenda to follow closer to the time
15:30 – Tea & Coffee and Informal networking
16:00 – Close

The Argyll members are active in many of the same material streams handled by the community sector in Highland; household goods, kerbside collections, education & waste prevention, and used cooking oil. They also have waste diversion SLAs with their local authority. See http://www.crns.org.uk/index/crns-find-action?area=Argyll%20&%20Bute for details of the Argyll members. With the current uncertainty and falling prices for recyclates, this would seem to be an appropriate time to engage with our neighbours in Argyll.

Please let me know if you are able to join us on Nov 21st. As always, all welcome, no cost. .
