REAL NAPPY BEST PRACTICE EVENT
Tolbooth, Stirling
Lunch and Registration 12.00pm - 1pm
Event 1pm - 4.30pm

Since the Real Nappy Programme has started in 2005 there have been many partnerships forged in most Local authority areas of Scotland in the form of committed individuals usually involved in a Network or funded project.  The programme is now at a stage of developing a Best Practice Toolkit for new and existing Real Nappy projects; all stakeholders will be able to have free access, enabling a sharing of information, templates, list of successful activities and established contacts for support. The Resource Pack will also be updated and as well as the Best Practice for projects, it  will include the Best Practice Guides for Real Nappies in a Nursery setting, a hospital setting, PAS 106 laundry standards for use in Scotland.
This seminar, therefore,  will be of particular relevance to CRNS members, local authorities, NHS (antenatal/postnatal), new and existing Real Nappy Projects and all those interested in minimising waste through raising awareness of Real Nappies.

Subjects for discussion include :

◊    Starting Best Practice activities for new and existing projects
◊    Recruiting and managing volunteers
◊    Starting up a Credit Union Scheme aimed at low income family areas.
◊    What support CRNS can offer on a local and strategic level.
◊    Best Practice guidelines working with NHS and Nurseries

Programme
The seminar will include an overview of the Real Nappy Programme coordinated by CRNS, including the key findings, the resources now available, the best practice models, the key principles of any project, sales and marketing approaches and the sustainability of the project.
