20/20 Vision for Sustainable Resource Management

The format of this year’s event is more dynamic and participative and will allow delegates to select preferred and particular sessions. There will be parallel sessions running throughout the programme with some of the main themed sessions repeated, to ensure no one misses out.

The successful and enhanced indoor exhibition, together with other sponsored sessions, will allow you to meet and discuss your requirements with waste/reprocessing companies and suppliers and provide the ideal networking opportunity. If you are involved in the waste management sector in Scotland at any level there is something for you. Whether you think you have heard it all, be assured some of our speakers have up to the minute information and advice that is not to be missed.

The range of topics will explore the merging policy areas of waste/resource management and climate change resulting in a programme ranging from material markets to carbon and waste.

The conference will also be looking towards the 20/20 horizon, how we might tackle the commercial and industrial waste streams and waste prevention. New partners with Eventful Scotland this year include the
Scottish Executive, NSCA and CRNS.

Why don’t you or your organisation round off a great 2 days by coming along to our Scottish Waste Management Awards Dinner on Thursday 11th October in the Glasgow Hilton. The awards for 2007 have a new addition, “Award of the year – Waste Prevention in the retail sector”. We have renamed the award for individual achievement to “Award for Excellence in Resource Management Practices”. Eventful Scotland welcomes awards applications from all sectors.
