Regional Community Recycling Forums
The CRNS facilitates regional Community Recycling Forums (CRFs) throughout the country. The majority of these are in keeping with the 11 Waste Strategy Areas, with the exception of the Cairngorms National Park Area.
Purpose
The purpose of the Forums is to:
- facilitate networking opportunities at a regional level
- to share information and good practice and develop joint working
- to provide new and emerging community recyclers a point of access to the sector
- to allow other interested parties and stakeholders, such as SEPA and local authorities, a mechanism by which they can engage with the sector at a regional level.
Format
The Forums are tailored to each area but tend to be an informal gathering of like-minded people. In addition to updates from all who are in attendance, there is usually a CRNS update and discussion about key issues and opportunities for the sector. They also often include guest speakers, project visits and a networking lunch.
