Activities & Support

As well as providing member support, we work to raise the profile of community recycling and reuse and regularly showcase the work of our members through our website and quarterly magazine, Towards Zero.

We are currently working to establish an Accredited Reuse and Repair network for Scotland. CRNS members will form the backbone of this network and have come together to form a working group.

2010 will see the launch of Pass it on Day – a new national day celebrating all things reuse. This promotional campaign is a collaboration between the CRNS and Zero Waste Scotland.

We will be launching a new CRNS website in mid-2010 that will feature a sophisticated search tool to find members, as well as an improved member’s area to host useful tools, templates and timely information.

We also:

• produce a quarterly newsletter, Towards Zero
• keep members updated via regular enews bulletins
  
• host two annual conferences: More Than Recycling and More Than Furniture 
• produce informative reports and publications. See our latest Mapping Report, which shows the environemntal and economic effects of our member activities 
• facilitate regional community recycling forums
