
Marketing students write plan for Rag Tag 'n' TextileJuly 1, 2009
The students had 12 weeks to develop the plan, which had to be presented at the university's Student Marketing and PR Show in May 09. Vicky Samuels, Rag Tag coordinator, said: "The group of undergraduates who did a SWOT [strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats] analysis, visited us and after several interviews with staff produced a very useful marketing plan for us." Other students from the degree course were tasked with briefs to develop marketing and promotion plans for companies such as John Lewis and Glasgow Credit Union. Pauline Bell, lecturer, told the university's newsletter: "This assignment gave students a valuable taste of the business world by encouraging them to devise real life solutions for businesses." |
