Emmaus open furniture superstoreNovember 17, 2008
The 10,000 square feet store has been trading since July but the charity expects the official opening to boost sales. Dermot Lamb, Executive Manager, said the superstore located in Summer Street next to the Iceland supermarket had already exceed the charity's expectations. Dermot said: "The store has beaten our sales targets every month since we began trading, and we expect the official opening to raise our profile in the communitoes around us, although we have attracted customers from as far away as Dumfries and Edinburgh." Spruce Carpets have also opened a new shop in Glasgow, where they will now be selling to the public from teh Shawlands Arcade in Kilmarnock Road. |
Emmaus Glasgow's new charity furniture superstore in the east end of Glasgow was officially opened by Terry Waite and MSP Frank McAveety last week.
