Family fun day at the Green HomeAugust 18, 2008
Heath Gardner, Green Home Manager, said: "The idea to hold a Family Fun Day came from the staff as they all wanted to do something that would involve the community and be an interesting and enjoyable event for everyone. "After discussing things and obtaining the necessary permissions from The Moray Council, we decided we could achieve a whole lot more if we invited other social enterprises and community groups. "This would also allow us to offer a much broader range of activities which would have wider appeal for both the children and the adults, ensuring something of interest for everyone. We still need volunteers to come forward who will kindly give up some of their Sunday to help make this day a truly special one for us all." The Green Home Charity reuse and recycle unwanted household and garden goods which are donated by members of the public. For large, bulky items, The Green Home offers a free collection service for all households in Moray and parts of Aberdeenshire. The Green Home's Family Fun Day – working with the community for the community. Doors open at 10.30am on Sunday 24 August. |
