Revolve pleeding for help to surviveJune 25, 2008
Revolve is now hoping to win a court case to get their business back, but is struggling financially while trying to get their case heard, and is asking for donations. Revolve write in their plee: "Revolve was founded 20 years ago in Canberra, Australia’s National Capital city, as a community charity with the sole objective of creating jobs from the waste stream by scavenging and selling donated goods which would have previously gone to landfill. "After these 20 years and generating around $20 million dollars, and at one time more than 30 jobs for our local community, our business was forcibly put out to tender by Canberra's Government. Under circumstances which we are still contesting in court, we were locked out of the business we created and the business was given to a commercial operator. "Our barrister is confident we can win our court case if we can only get our day in court." Linsay Chalmers, CRNS, visited Revolve earlier this year, and reported back from Revolve's gloomy situation. Revolve had been forced to move to another site they couldn't afford to build on and had cut their staff down to only seven.
