
Call for nominations for Eventful Scotland Annual AwardsJuly 17, 2007 Entries are now invited for the 2007 Waste Industry Awards for Scotland. There is a wide range of categories which have been designed to reflect the widening sustainability agenda faced by all sectors. These categories offer an opportunity for the public, private and community sector to gain national recognition for the advances that they have developed and/or undertaking. Organisations can either enter themselves for an award or submit an application on behalf of another organisation if they feel the organisation has been doing an outstanding job! Award Categories and Criteria This year there are six category of award... Award for Environmental Innovation - This award will be received by the initiative demonstrating how new pioneering techniques have been developed to tackle individual problems in waste management. The deadline for nominations is Friday 14 September. You can download the nomination form here. All organisations that are based in or operate in Scotland are eligible to apply. All applicants will be informed of the outcome by Friday, 21 September 2007. A representative of each finalist organisation will be invited to attend the black tie Eventful Scotland Awards Dinner on Thursday 11th October 2007 at the Hilton Hotel, Glasgow to receive their award.
