Winner: Moray Recycling Action Group, The Green Home

The Green Home’s Chief Executive Heath Gardner said: “We were delighted to be named CRNS Member of the Year today as the award really reflects the hard-work and dedication which has gone into making The Green Home the success it is today.

“We will continue to encourage people to think about waste as a resource which may be reused to reap social and economic benefits for the community.”

Winner: Shetland Amenity Trust, Enviroglass

Enviroglass have researched, developed, tested, patented and launched a wide range of paving slabs made with 80% recycled glass cullet. The has enabled the social enterprise company to process and recycle as much waste glass as Shetland can produce, diverting more than 600 tonnes per annum of glass from Landfill.

Enviroglass market their products to the entire UK and have received orders from social housing developments, school refurbishments, office suites, museums, public buildings and private housing.

Winner: Highland Council

Councillor John Laing, Spokesperson for Waste Management in The Highland Council said: "The community sector in Highland provides a wide variety of services, including collection of furniture and other household items for reuse from our recycling centres, community composting, wood reuse & recycling and kerbside recycling. "
