The conference will take place in the Opera Studio situated in the main building of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RSAMD).

The entrance to the Opera School is at the rear of the building on the corner of Wymess Lane and Cowcaddens Road. See directions below for details.

Location

The RSAMD is situated at the corner of Hope Street and Renfrew Street, which runs parallel with Glasgow's famous Sauchiehall Street a 10-15 minutes walk from Glasgow's two main train stations, Queen Street and Glasgow Central. The RSAMD is easily accessible from all major approach roads and Glasgow International Airport is a 20 minute journey by taxi or bus.

BY TRAIN - Glasgow Queen St

Leave Glasgow Queen St station by the Dundas St exit (to your right from high level trains). Walk straight ahead across the taxi rank and into Dundas Lane. Turn right into Buchanan St and follow the pedestrianised area into Sauchiehall St then turn right into Hope St. The RSAMD is on the left hand side at the corner of Hope Street and Renfrew Street. The entrance to the Opera School however is at the rear of the RSAMD building so walk to the end of Hope Street turn left at traffic lights (MacConnells bar on the corner) walk about 100 yards and take the next left.

BY TRAIN - Glasgow Central

Leave Glasgow Central station by the main entrance. Turn left into Gordon St then first right into Hope St. The RSAMD is at the corner of Hope Street and Renfrew St. The entrance to the Opera School however is at the rear of the RSAMD building so walk to the end of Hope Street turn left at traffic lights (MacConnells bar on the corner) walk about 100 yards and take the next left.

BY UNDERGROUND

Leave Cowcaddens station & turn right. Cross over the road and walk alongside Cowcaddens Rd for around 100yds. The back entrance to Cambridge Street Car park is on your left and the RSAMD is next door with the entrance to the Opera School on the left hand side up a couple of steps.

BY BUS

Buchanan Bus Station is just a 5 minute walk from the RSAMD. The following bus services stop outside the RSAMD on Hope Street: 20, 23, 23A, 41, 50, 54, 55, 66, 75, 801 and 803. Bus services 17 and 20 stop outside the RSAMD on Renfrew Street.

Leave Buchanan bus station by the clock and head up Killermont St. The RSAMD is on the left hand side at the corner of Renfrew Street and Hope Street. The entrance to the Opera School however is at the rear of the RSAMD building so turn right into Hope Street walk to the end of Hope Street turn left at traffic lights (MacConnells bar on the corner) walk about 100 yards and take the next left.

BY CAR AND PARKING

Eastbound on the M8 Exit at J19 and follow signs for the City Centre. At the 1st set of traffic lights turn left into Pitt St. At the 2nd set of traffic lights turn right into West George St. Turn 1st left into Douglas St then continue (Blythswood Sq on your right) until you reach Sauchiehall St, having crossed both West Regent St and Bath St. Turn right into Sauchiehall St, then left into Rose St at the beginning of the pedestrianised area. Turn 1st right into Renfrew St then 1st left into Cambridge St. The car park is on your right.

Westbound on the M8 Exit at J17. Turn left at the 1st set of traffic lights into West Graham St. Turn right at the major traffic lights into Cowcaddens Rd then first right into Cambridge St. The car park is on your left.

Exit car park into Cowcaddens Road. The entrance to the Opera School is directly across the lane on the right hand side.
