AGM 2007

The CRNS 4th Annual General Meeting was recently held at the Columba Hotel in Inverness. Over 40 delegates from across Scotland attended the event.

NSH sign In the morning delegates had the opportunity to visit New Start Highland, a very successful charity established to provide practical help to homeless people who are moving into their own home. New Start moved into purpose built premises in 2006 and James Dunbar, the Chief Executive, lead a guided tour around the facility as well as discussing with the delegates the values and aims of the organisation whilst also outlining some of the challenges that lay ahead for the organisation. You can find out more about New Start Highland at www.newstarthighland.org.uk

After lunch the CRNS Board of Directors presented their reports to the CRNS members. Matt Lewis, the CRNS Chairperson, summarised some of the significant achievements from the past year including the development of the SWF150 Programme, the very successful More Than Recycling Conference and Awards and the successful delivery of development support to members, including assistance with applications to the INCREASE Programme.
