About the CRNS
The Community Recycling Network for Scotland (CRNS) exists
to build a strong community recycling sector in Scotland, creating real social,
environmental and economic benefits for local communities. Our membership comprises over 130 recycling, reuse and waste
prevention organisations across Scotland.
Member support
- We provide advice to our members on finance, and starting up
reuse and recycling enterprises, and offer ongoing assistance with project
development.
- We work to keep our members up to date on environmental
policy and regulations, materials pricing and new markets, and help direct them
to other sources of business support.
- We help members to network and share information with each
other through our regional forums, two annual conferences – More Than Recycling
and More Than Furniture – and e-newsletter.
- We also work to foster partnerships between our members and
local authorities, housing associations and the private sector, among others.
