1. STUDENT ENVIRONMENTAL PLACEMENT PROGRAMME -- now CLOSED

This programme offers your organisation the opportunity to harness fresh creative ideas from talented, enthusiastic undergraduates to kick-start or complete a project, which you possibly haven’t had the time, money or in-house resources to move forward previously.
The programme is open to applications from Monday 1 March, 2010 to Friday 28 May, 2010. Application forms and the application process are available to download below.

When do the placement commence?
Placements commence the first week of July and run typically for 8 weeks.
How much will it cost?
Students receive a training allowance of £210 per week, which is exempt from National Insurance and Income Tax contributions. The cost of this allowance is covered by the INCREASE III Capacity fund so there is no cost to your organisation.
Am I eligible?
Organisations must comply with the INCREASE III Programme Eligibility Criteria before submitting an application to the either the student or graduate programme. The main criterion is the organisation must be a not-for-profit community waste sector organisation.
How do I recruit a student?
The CRNS in partnership with the Environmental Placement Programme (EPP) will assist sourcing a student for your organisation. EPP will advertise your vacancy, shortlist suitable applicants and arrange interviews however the final decision for the placement lies with the host organisation. Each student is allocated an EPP mentor to assist them achieve the aims and objectives of the project. In addition, the students are required to attend an induction day, a Mid Review Day and If deemed appropriate specialised training.

2. GRADUATE PLACEMENT PROGRAMME
The Graduate Placement Programme gives your organisation access to the skills and knowledge of some of Scotland’s finest graduates from a wide range of disciplines, including marketing, computing, design, business and environmental management.

The programme is open to applications from Friday 28 May 2010 to 12 February 2011. Application forms and the application process are available to download below.
