INCREASE III programme

bike station The INCREASE III programme is a £7.5m Scottish Government investment programme being delivered through a partnership between the Waste & Resources Action Programme Scotland (WRAP Scotland) and the Community Recycling Network for Scotland (CRNS) over a three year funding period 2008-11.

Main aim of funding

The aim of the INCREASE programme is to help not-for-profit, community based organisations develop projects that will increase the reduction, reuse, recycling and composting of waste in line with the move towards a Zero Waste Scotland.

Additional aims include

  • Move sector away from a reliance on grant funding.
  • Develop financially sustainable community recycling models.
  • Increase capacity of individual organisations to develop their ideas.
  • Allow for the implementation of new and innovative recycling services.
  • Consistent with the delivery of a Zero Waste Scotland.
  • Move towards sustainable waste management activities.

Eligibility criteria

Applicants must comply with the INCREASE III Programme Eligibility Criteria before submitting an application to any of the strands.

The Programme is delivered in partnership with WRAP Scotland and the Community Recycling Network for Scotland (CRNS).
